Sony Xperia Tablet Z
Sony this morning in Japan have announced the Sony Xperia Tablet Z. Following on from the announcement of the Sony Xperia Z smartphone at CES a couple of weeks ago, Sony’s new flagship Android tablet should create as much buzz as its smartphone announcement.
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z will feature a 10.1 inch screen with 1920 x 1200 resolution (with Mobile Bravia Engine 2) while running Android Jellybean (4.1) and just 6.9mm Thick (thinner than the iPad Mini). Inside the tablet it will run a Qualcomm 1.5GHz Quad-Core APQ8064 Processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage, a 8.1MP Exmor R Camera, NFC, LTE and MicroSD expansion. The Xperia Tablet Z will also feature a dust and waterproof design as featured on its smartphone counterpart as well as Sony’s very own “S-Force” virtual surround sound technology.
Sony have announced that the Xperia Tablet Z will be available in Japan in the Spring, while no announcement has been made about availability around the rest of the world. For more information head to Sony’s website - http://www.sonymobile.co.jp/company/press/20130121_xperia_tablet_z.html
