We only covered the rumour that Canon were about to release a new DSLR camera yesterday (see that article here), but today Canon announced not one, but two new DSLR cameras… The EOS 100D and the EOS 700D.
The Canon EOS 100D or Rebel SL1 as a small (very small!) DLSR camera that packs most of the features of an entry level DSLR camera into a smaller, more travel friendly form factor. It features a 18 megapixel sensor, 3 inch touch screen display, 9 point auto-focus and 1080p (Full HD) video recording.
While the Canon EOS 700D or Rebel T5i is still in Canon’s entry level range, it is the most advanced consumer EOS model. The 700D with a 18 megapixel sensor, 5 frames per second shooting, a wide 9 point auto-focus system, flip out vari-angle LCD touch screen and 1080p (Full HD) video recording. This all makes 700D just a step above the EOS 650D released last year.
